International House Palma

International House World Organisation
Founded in 1953, International House is a network of more than 130 schools around the world, all committed to the highest standards in education and business.
A key aim of International House is to raise the standards of language teaching around the world. One important way in which we do this is through Teacher Training courses for which International House has a world-wide reputation. We train our own (as well as many other schools') teachers to enable language students to learn the language of their choice simply, quickly and efficiently in a rich linguistic and cultural environment.
To ensure that every school maintains the high standards that are specified in the Affiliation Agreement, an external assessor visits each school every two years and conducts a thorough investigation into all aspects of the school's activities. These visits ensure that the unparalleled reputation International House enjoys for the quality of its services is safeguarded.

International House Palma de Mallorca
Located in the centre of Palma de Mallorca, established in 1982, IH Palma offers courses for language teachers and learners, as well as being an authorised centre for Cambridge English examinations.
Language courses
IH Palma has a range of high quality Spanish courses, attracting students from all over the world, including many on the German Bildungsurlaub scheme, as well as on the EU's Leonardo da Vinci progamme.
Our thriving English and German Departments provide language training for local Palma residents.
The school also has a large department dedicated to work-based learning: We give language classes in many public and private corporations, often funded through EU initiatives.

The language school
Established in 1982, International House Palma occupies all three floors of a modern, spacious building in the centre of Palma, just off the prestigious Passeig Mallorca avenue and a couple of minutes' walk from the old city.
IH Palma has its own street level entrance and reception, from where students can take the stairs to the classrooms. There are also toilet facilities and a classroom for facilities for learners with reduced mobility. The school occupies 3 floors of the building and has 14 air-conditioned classrooms, as well as a number of offices and recreational areas, including a computer lab which students are able to use either before or after class, and a chill-out area where learners can relax.

Wi-fi access
The whole third floor of the school is also an internet wireless hotspot, meaning that students may connect to the internet using their own computers or smartphones if they wish.
