IH Riviera Maya organises a regular programme of social activities in the school including welcome cocktail parties, conversation exchange evenings with Mexican students studying English, lectures on different aspects of Mexican and Mayan culture, film projections with commentaries, etc.
20 lessons per weekTimetable: from Monday to Friday, classes normally take place from 09.30 to 13.30, with a 20-minute break taken halfway through the morning.Levels: from elementary to advancedThe average number of students per group is 3 to 4, with a maximum of just 8.
The course includes a programme of cultural and social activities that take place in the afternoons and evenings.
On the first day of the course, if you have any prior knowledge of Spanish you have both an oral and a written entry test so that your level can be ascertained and you can be placed in the most appropriate group. The test normally takes around 40-60 minutes (depending on your level).At the end of your course, you will be given a certificate, which indicates the number of hours you have studied with us and the level of ability you have reached.

Results are linked to the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the standard benchmark used internationally to describe language ability. BULATS (the Business Language Testing Service) is a system of tests that assesses the communication skills needed for real business situations.
