    Linguistic exchange method:
    Puts students in contact with local French speakers for conversation exchanges. Initial meetings between conversation partners are organized by Langue Onze Toulouse, after which you will be free to meet informally with your partner outside of the school. This system of exchange allows you to get to know more about French culture and at the same time apply what you learned in the classroom in real-life situations.
    2 ways of doing a Tandem® exchange:
    Face to face Tandem®: A typical conversation exchange lasts from 2 hours, twice per week. For half of each meeting you will speak in your language, helping and correcting your partner, and for the other half, in French, being helped by your partner.
    E- Tandem®: Tandem® exchange via Internet - when the circumstances don't permit face-to-face contact.

Timetable: Monday - Friday from 9:15 to 13:00. In July and August class sessions may meet in the afternoons.

Intensive course + 1 cooking workshop of 1 hour + 1 cooking workshop of 1 hour 30 per week at a professional school.

In the morning, French Intensive course of 23 lessons per week in group, students will deepen their competence in all four skill areas of French language. In the French cooking workshops, students will learn to how interpret French recipes in preparing classic and creative dishes à la Française, hands-on with a professional French chef. At the end of each cooking course, students will sample the meal they have prepared in a convivial setting.

All French cooking courses presented below include: all ingredients, detailed recipes with an explanation of the vocabulary, and the step-by-step preparation of a meal guided by a professional French chef.

Cooking programme
The option « French class and cooking » will offer you:
•    Cooking classes taught by a professional chef in a big workshop in the center of Toulouse (and not far from the school ‘Langue Onze’),
•    A cooking instruction in French which takes place in a friendly atmosphere, in small groups which gather both French people and foreigners,
•    A wide range of modern and original recipes.

A fortnight before your arrival, we will send you the courses which will be available during your stay in Toulouse, and you will choose the courses which appeal to you.

Typical recipes
Jewel of the French gastronomy, the recipes of foie gras are an integral part of the culinary and cultural heritage of the region of Southwest. We consume it traditionally cold in entrance, it is also possible to consume it warmly, or as ingredient of a more elaborated recipe.
The duck is a specialty of the region of Southwest and you will not find a restaurant which does not propose it to its menu! Whether it is the famous duck confit, the feet packages, the duck breast in the green pepper, the garbure (cabbage soup), discover the recipes of duck of the Southwest which our Chefs propose you!
Southwest is a region rich in local products which offers a large variety of recipes. Salads as salade landaise or salade périgourdine are very renowned in this region.
