For every 4 registered weeks of any course, you pay only 3. If your registration is for 5 weeks (=4+1) you will pay 4 (=3+1); if it is for 6 (=4+2), you will pay 5 (=3+2); if it is for 7 (=4+3), you will pay 6 (=3+3); if it is for 8 weeks (=4+4), you will pay 6 too (=3+3); etc. The maximum number of weeks for the offer is 12 weeks (you register 12 weeks and pay for 9): for 12+x weeks you will always pay 9+x weeks. 20 hours per week
Duration of the classes: The estimated effective duration of each class is 52 minutes, so that per each 4 hours of class there is a pause of 30 minutes.
Maximum number is 10 students per group.
6 distinct levels: A2 (Basic), B1 (Intermediate), B2 (Advanced), C1 (Superior) and C2 (Perfecting).

Level test: The first day of class, at 9 in the morning, you will take a test to determine your corresponding class level.
Schedule of Classes: Classes are given in the morning or in the afternoon, depending on the level.

4 hours daily of Grammar and Practical Conversation (spoken and written). With this course we strive to cover a variety of real situations (those a study would confront daily) through the knowledge of vocabulary, grammatical structures and set uses of the language.

The method of classes at Tía Tula is totally interactive, using conversation with the students as the base of learning. It is great for students who seek to learn the language and have free time to enjoy the country.

[This course provides ECTS credits awarded by the Pontifical University of Salamanca. Credits can be earned in courses from 80 hours or more. Students can request the corresponding certificate (certificate issuing costs not included in the course price).]

Monitoring of the students’ progress
Beyond the initial level test, which assesses the student’s level at the beginning of the course, there is a constant monitoring of his/her progress based on continuous evaluation. This monitoring process concludes with a final exam, which determines the level of Spanish reached by the student at the end of his course.

Didactic materials used in class
Apart from the didactic materials of different publishers and levels which consist of a student book, a workbook and a teacher’s guide-book, we have the use of blackboards, TV’s, DVD’s and CD players in each classroom. This allows us to realize all the reproductions proposed in the didactic materials, and the extra material each teacher considers appropriate. Furthermore, we have a laptop with internet access which the teachers can use at any time. The school also offers computers with internet access for the students.
Normally each level is completed with the lecture of an adapted version of a Spanish book or novel, once a week; an hour is devoted to this material including summaries, vocabulary, and comments. On higher levels, we propose an audiovisual presentation every two months as extra class material.

Final student satisfaction survey
At the end of their course and stay at Tía Tula, students receive a satisfaction survey which will be considered for further improvement.
