Our School is delighted to offer students a programme of English language tuition combined with horse-riding lessons in one of Irelands largest equestrian centres- Carrickmines Equestrian Centre or Thornton Park Equestrian Centre.
The Carrickmines Equestrian Centre is located in South Dublin, easily accessible from all school's junior summer centres. Professional instructors provide coaching in indoor and outdoor arenas and the centre’s extensive farmlands provide an ideal location for trekking and cross-country riding.
This centre boasts some of the finest equestrian facilities in Ireland which include:
* Outdoor Menage (100m x 50m) which is one of the largest all weather equestrian arenas in Ireland
* Floodlit Outdoor Sand Arena used for a wide range of activities from show-jumping to polo- crosse to dressage.
* Floodlit Outdoor Arena (50m x 30m)
* Indoor Arena (40m x 20m)
* 80 acres of farmland (for trekking & cross country).
Thornton Park Equestrian Centre is a purpose-built, modern equestrian centre situated on 30 acres of grasslands in an idyllic North Dublin setting. The facilities include an Indoor Arena, two floodlit outdoor arenas and stabling for 50 horses. Thornton Park is certified by the British Horse Society and is conveniently located close to our Marino College Centre.
English Language Tuition: Expert English language tuition providing interesting and challenging lessons to all young learners at all levels, from beginner to advanced.
Course materials are specially selected for each age group and the focus is on helping students to communicate effectively in written and spoken English. In addition to the use of the textbook, teachers provide supplementary materials from a variety of sources including magazines, newspapers, CDs, DVDs. Classes also include an introduction to the cultural part of the programme.
