Description

4 weeks
Number of lessons: 25 (45 min. each) per week
5-10 students per class
Levels: B2 (intermediate 2) to C2 (advanced 2)

Possesing intercultural competence and job-related foreign language skills is a clear advantage in the globalized job market. This course is aimed at (prospective) students and employees and in business and administration who are already proficient in german (level B2 or higher). This program covers basic business activities such as telephone calls with clients, business correspondence, presentations and negotiations, and also addresses the fundamentals of corporate organizational and management principles. Classroom work is complemented by excursions that offer a practical glimpse at everyday professions life in German companies.

Class Size
Our classes usually consist of 5-10 course participants. With such a small size we want to make sure that individual attention is given to every single person. As we focus very much on the communicative approach of the language, while not neglecting grammar, we ensure to make every student talk and participate vividly by limiting the number of participants per group.

Tests
All course participants take a weekly exam which covers all the course content taught the preceding week, so that students and teachers alike can assess the progress made in the German language. At the end of a level, there will be an additional „level exam“, which needs to be passed with a minimum of 75% to be able to advance to the following language level.

Homework
Our adults are also expected to do some homework every day, yet they will still have plenty of time for extracurricular activities.

Exciting Berlin
Berlin is such an exciting city with such an amazing range of options on how to spend the free afternoons and evenings, that it is practically impossible to feel bored there.
Historic sights in Berlin
On the one hand, there are all the important sights that one should visit to get a glimpse of the important role that Berlin has always played in Germany's history: Brandenburg Gate, once the symbol of the separation, and now the symbol of reunification of the two Germanies; the Reichstag, the German Parliament with the new glass dome, a perfect blend of historical and modern architecture; the remnants of the Berlin Wall, the many memorials (like the new Holocaust Memorial), the various palaces, or the brand new government buildings like the “Kanzleramt”, to name a few.
Museums and more
On the other hand, there are world-renowned museums like the ones on the Museum Island, the Pergamon Museum, the Old Museum, the German Historical Museum, the Bauhaus, the Collection of Egyptian Art. Apart from the many concerts, theaters, cultural events, movie theaters, bars, beer gardens and discos, you can also play all types of sports, or stroll down the Kurfürstendamm, one of Berlin's busiest shopping streets, or take a boat trip on the river Spree and the Havel lakes or simply go on an outing to Wannsee and Grunewald, oases of tranquility ideal for those quiet afternoons in the sun.
Leisure time activities
Apart from offering an interesting leisure program to our course participants (which is included in the course fee, except for admission charges), we are also happy to help them organize their own activities.
