Description

2, 4 or 6 weeks
Students max per class: 10
Number of lessons: 30 (45 min. each) per week
Levels: A1 (elementary 1) to B2 (intermediate 2)
For total beginners please find the course with suitable starting dates here.

The lessons are especially structured and designed for adolescent students: they are interactive and fun, yet at the same time demanding and very effective.
Class Size
Our classes usually consist of 5-10 students. With such a small size we make sure that individual attention is given to every single course participant. As we focus very much on the communicative approach of the language we ensure to make every student talk and participate, while of course not neglecting the grammatical aspect of the language.
Tests
All course participants take a weekly exam which covers all the course content taught the preceding week, so that students and teachers alike can assess the progress made in the German language.
Homework
Our teenagers are also expected to do some homework every day, yet they will still have plenty of time for extracurricular activites.

Cologne's great variety of leisure facilities
Cologne offers a vast variety of leisure activities, museums and sights, most of which can easily be reached on foot from our school.

Daily program for time after class and weekends
Our staff will organize a daily program of sports, games and/or cultural events for the time after class; this service is already included in the course fee. Our counselors will encourage all students to participate, while guaranteeing reliable round-the-clock supervision seven days a week. They will also take our teenagers on full-day excursions every Saturday; these may include a trip by boat on the Rhine, a visit to Bonn, the former capital of Germany, or to the cities of Trier and Dusseldorf. They will also arrange half-day trips every Wednesday afternoon, either to sights in and around the city, or to little towns close by.
A perfect location
Due to its wonderful central location within walking distance of all major downtown sights, the City Hostel is not only the perfect starting point for those who want to explore and discover Cologne, it is also a great and quiet place to relax after a strenuous afternoon in town.
